Sophie & Sam married at the beautiful Stratton Court Barn in Oxfordshire in October and from the moment I met Sophie she knew she wanted flowers that truly reflected the season they were marrying in. Hearing Sophie say she just adored flowers was a dream for us. Thank you, thank you to Catherine & Andy at White Stag Weddings for sharing your fabulous images, you've made it an impossible task for me to choose my favourites as they are all just exquisite!
Decorating the arch in the barn as a backdrop for their civil ceremony was huge fun, transforming the barn into an autumnal haze and bringing in some pops of colour into the warm, honey coloured stone walls. I know the wedding co-ordinaor at Stratton court Barn to be a consummate professional, nothing is too much trouble on the day for Karin, I guess this image speaks for itself!
Sophie wanted a colour palette so i recommend a number of roses, dahlias, astilbe, amaranthus, scabious, and lots of gorgeous seed heads for bouquets full of texture and movement. We strived to create a palette that would work in the barn and look fabulous with the bridesmaids's dark navy blue dresses. We're thrilled with the results.
The table flowers were all arranged in pretty birch bark covered vases sat with mercuried gold candle holders on mini wood slices (for an evening glow) surrounded by a variety of autumnal fruits, figs, plums, grapes and tiny jewel red crab apples. The beautiful light canopy by Oakwood Events brought an extra magical sparkle to the barn.
We love all the little touches just as much as the larger displays, the focal flowers in the arch, the aisle chair flowers and a little extra surprise for the bride & groom with a tiny place setting each.
We were delighted that Stratton Court Barn voted Sophie & Sam's wedding their best of 2016 on their blog.
It has been a pleasure working for you, huge congratulations to you both, I wish you every happiness and shall miss our flowery chats Sophie!
