Victoria & Ryan were married at the stunning Merriscourt Barn in the Cotswolds in October and it was an absolutely glorious day, aside from a short torrential downpour during set up but let’s not dwell on that part! When they first came to see me, Victoria really had done her research, she knew that plum would be a key colour and we kept all the flowers seasonal to compliment a range of shades and tones of plum and pale pink. It was an utterly gorgeous autumn wedding and a huge shout out goes to Nicola Thompson Photography for sharing her awesome work.
The barn is stunning and doesn’t need over the top floral decoration but Victoria & Ryan really wanted to bring a feel of the season into the decor so we created a lush, full garland for the window ledge and 2 tall displays on metal stands to frame the bride and groom as they said their vows. We also designed flowers to side on the ledges on the barn walls which were relocated into the other room for the wedding breakfast.
How utterly gorgeous do they look, a pretty well co-ordinated wedding party with dapper chaps and such beautiful bridesmaids! Again all the flowers were shades of plum, pink and blush with lots of textured foliage, seed heads and bronze ferns.
For the wedding breakfast we alternated high and low displays which worked really well to break up the views across the room which is relatively narrow but a beautiful, blank canvas.
Oh my life, I love a cheese cake for a wedding and this one looked divine!
Dearest Victoria & Ryan, I am absolutely thrilled you picked us to flower your wedding and even more thrilled that you all had the best day ever. Thank you for trusting me to deliver your vision, from the minute I met you guys, I knew it would be a joy to work with you. I wish you every happiness on your journey together, I have a good feeling it’s going to be a wonderful, action packed one.
Much love, Joules xx
