I am pretty confident that the images of Alice & Simon’s wedding will tell their magical story without me needing to add much more, thanks to the stunning work of Barker Evans

Their day was so beautiful, a classic country wedding in rural Oxfordshire, full of rustic charm, relaxed florals and joyful love and laughter.

Alice was so open to suggestions with the flowers but knew she wanted a palette of soft blue with some hints of pale peach. I suggested some brighter pops of colour and given it was a June wedding, it had to be peonies and the “Corals” most definitely had their day!

The church flowers were so important to the family, especially given that Alice’s grandfather had been the local vicar. Nothing was overlooked, every little detail was planned meticulously but with an informal, relaxed vibe, nothing contrived and everything seasonal and beautiful.

The reception was at Alice’s family home, which is a working farm in a stunning setting. Alice’s parents spent a year planning and nurturing their beautiful gardens to ensure it was perfect, no detail was overlooked. We even made 15 hoops from willow foraged from the farm, a task in itself as some were over 1 meter in diameter, but absolutely worth it!

The marquee was a stunning “petal pole” construction from Richardson Marquees and with the sides open on such a gloriously hot summers day, it was simply perfect. Many historic farm relics were also put to use and all the church flowers came back to the marquee to be repurposed and to add to the wonderful, abundant, summery vibes.

Alice & Simon, thank you from the bottom of my heart for picking us, we loved every aspect of planning and executing your wedding. You and your family made us feel so very welcome and we can only wish you every happiness on your wonderful, exciting journey together.

Much love,
